The original store was poorly lighted up and animated, with a complex layout. The shell was totally rebuilt to bring a more pleasant and self-indulgent experience. The product distribution was rethought to become more delicatessen-oriented, with greater aisles and a better product promotion. With the original stairs, the access to the first floor was made difficult : it was replaced by a large and central stair. Suspended ceiling was removed to let the beams exposed.

Furniture, walls treatment and signage were adapted from the “Gourmet” concept developed for the Brussel airport : wood panels to support the signage, furniture and wooden structure for display shelving in the Food zone, with a white version in the Fashion and Beauty zone. Wood is highly present, as a recall of the country’s identity : its color was chosen regarding local wood essences.
